Communing with Nature

While in Colorado Justin and I have had an amazing time. Partly because of our wilderness activities and partly because we are just two amazing guys and no matter where we go we brighten the experience of everyone there even it is only the two of us. All that said we hiked St. Mary’s Glacier the other day and ran into a little wildlife, which soon became large wildlife.
We started our hike on some private property of a friend of Justin’s; which made the hiking pretty remote and thus increased the chances to encounter some creatures. It was an old ski resort that had been abandoned since 1988.

Here’s how it started. Justin saw an amazingly cute and cuddly brown bear, one that makes you want to take pictures of it and play with it.

And as we were doing just that the mother spotted us messing with her little baby. I heard a lot of splashing, huffing, and slight growling which made me turn in the direction and very quickly take this photo.

I can run really fast and I had a head start on Justin since I tripped him in the beginning of the getaway. Since I had such a head start I thought I would document our departure with a few photos. It’s a good thing because I got Justin getting really good air over this log.

Justin thought this tree was a good escape but upon further inspection we opted to keep running, and eventually hide in some bushes.

Then she saw us and Justin jumped up and started swatting at it and the bear swatted at him; but thankfully I remembered my youth.

You see I was raised by brown bears for a portion of my early years and thus I became the “bear whisperer” (similar to the time I tamed wildlife in Boston). I was able to explain all that had transpired and we were able to clear up the misunderstanding. And in the end she waved us good bye and told us the quickest route to the top.

Were you found by humans or did the bears get tired of changing your outfits?

It's a long story which involves a circus, the CIA, black helicopters, ninja outfits, and more. it would take too much time, but some very important people found a nice couple in Germany to give me to many years ago.

So you tripped Justin? Did he forgive you because you saved him later, or is he still upset you left him to be bear food?

Jeff, the wheels have gotten a little slower but I only have to out run the guy next to me and not the bear.

Natalie, he didn't take offense. If he had seen it first he would have done the same thing. We have a mutual agreement to help others even if that means attempting to kill those closest to you.

Who could be the stunt double? Noone can look quite like Justin. And no one can wear rugby wear quite like him either. . . except a real rugby player.

"Who could be the stunt double?"

Why Paco of course!

Since he looks just like his twin, why did you even bother asking??

Oh, ya. . . Paco. I forgot about him. You know he has been away for quite some time I should check on him to see if he is okay and his brother Estaban.

The couple in Germany thought they shout say something about the find. Yes we sort of found him. More like he was given to us with the words "HERE TAKE HIM AND DO WHATEVER" And because we were very kind people, we took him in. We did not how much of a Bear he would be till we declawed him. But this had to be done so the future cowboy outfit would make him look as much Texasn as possible.
